"Created by AnOther Magazine with artist and filmmaker Baillie Walsh, and premiering at London’s Haunch of Venison gallery at the start of London Fashion Week, KM3D-1 is a pioneering collaboration bringing together fashion, art and film in glorious 3D.
The film reunites Kate Moss and Baillie Walsh for the first time since their holographic film, which famously screened at the end of Alexander McQueen’s autumn/winter 2006 show.
Featuring a performance by Moss as a mythological goddess who shatters her self-image through an explosion of hundreds of tiny crystals, the film was shot using state-of-the-art Phantom cameras specially built for the project to create a beautiful 3D effect in super-slow motion. Along with the film, we will be revealing extensive making-of material, including footage of Kate Moss and the team in action. With an extra making of piece exclusive that can be seen on the Swarovski website.
The original full-colour 3D work will be presented as an immersive video art installation at the renowned Haunch of Venison,co-hosted with Beefeater 24. A private viewing will be held on September 16 and the installation will be open to the public from September 17–18. A black and white “miniature” version of the work, optimised for the web and iPad, will be shown online at anothermag.com on September 17.
3D glasses enabling you to view KM3D-1 on any digital screen are included in AnOther Magazine Issue 19, on sale from September 16."
