la belle provence pt quatre: l'express

my baby loves him some baguette.
if you like french food....eat at l'express.
it's fantastic. no joke.

la belle provence pt deux

my good friend jason brought us to Rumi for amazing middle eastern food.
we did a service for $25 each and stuffed our faces. great atmosphere and delicious food.

the crepes are from eggspectations or eggstrordinaire or whatever the hell that place is called. it was pretty yummy but a little heavy on the mushrooms. not a huge fan.

la belle provence

daniel and i took a trip to montreal to get our minds off of house hunting for a brief moment.
best part other than having this beautiful man all to myself? yummy food.
here are some examples.

here is Restaurant L'Avenue on mont royal. there is usually a really long line up but it is soo worth the wait. they were playing Chromeo while we ate (which Daniel LOVED) and the potatoes come in mini pots so they are still warm when you get to them. mind you i didn't get to mine because i was pigging out on my amazing veggie and chevre omlette and massive soy latte. mmm mmm good.

there are tv's in the unisex bathrooms!!

BACK OFF......

....this is my turf!

we had a lovely dinner at Turf lounge on bay street this evening for daniel's dads birthday celebration. i had never been there before and the place is beautiful! just inside the door there is the original facade of the building and HUGE chandeliers which they had to take down part of the entrance way to bring in.

Turf Lounge is part of the Woodbine group which is one of Dan and Joe's clients at Lane Contracting. you can eat a fantastic meal and bet on horses in a beautiful atmosphere. Good work guys!

so...i took a photo of a few of our apps. i had grilled calamari which i was VERY hesitant to share. Daniel had a Caesar salad and bruscetta (AND Gnocchi!! all of which were small portions. just his luck. the one with the hollow leg)

I had a yellow fin nicoise and then chocolate pate. both of which i was too excited about to remember to photograph.

everyone enjoyed their meals and a complimentary bet (i did not win.) and now daniel and i are going to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer. for fashion tips of course. ;)
